This is real sand
from the Emirates
Not a print. Not a texture applied to metal. The face of this watch is desert sand from the UAE, carried in and fixed to the dial one layer at a time, then sealed beneath sapphire so it can never move again.
Every dial is filled by hand, so the drift and depth of the surface fall differently each time and no two faces are quite alike. What you see is the moment the sand stopped moving.

Each watch carries its own number, engraved into the left flank of the case where only the wearer will find it. When the thirty-six are spoken for, the edition closes. There will be no second run.
