Bucephalus is the famous horse associated with Alexander the Great and is considered one of the most renowned horses in Roman history. He was a black horse with a white star on his forehead, giving him a majestic appearance. In the beginning, no one could tame Bucephalus until Alexander the Great demonstrated his exceptional skill and confidence, successfully calming and taming him. From that moment, Bucephalus became Alexander's favorite horse and accompanied him on many military campaigns.
The relationship between them was extremely special, with the horse showing extraordinary loyalty to his master. After many years of faithful service, it is said that Bucephalus died from his wounds in one of the battles. This deeply saddened Alexander, who then founded a new city named "Bucephala" in honor of his loyal horse.
